Job Summary
Information Technology Services (ITS) at the MCCCD is looking for a forward-thinking Information Technology Manager for the Academic Technology team. Under the direction of the Information Technology Director, this position will manage resources and activities in support of Maricopa’s Web and Cloud Infrastructure. This people-leader role uses strategy and experience to plan, design, acquire, and implement enterprise information systems to support customer needs and enhance the student experience. This position represents ITS on different districtwide projects and committees. The IT Manager is someone who demonstrates a commitment to service-excellence, innovation, student success, integrity and diversity in the performance of job duties.

MCCCD and the League for Innovation in the Community College awarded ITS the Innovation of the Year for its development of the Academic and Student Success Integrated Technology (ASSIST) platform. This technology enables MCCCD to affordably deliver high-quality, timely, accessible, and informed service to all students.
Essential Functions
45% - Oversees daily operations of MCCCD’s public cloud infrastructure, Internet website development, and Intranet; provides guidance on systems configurations, deployment and management of infrastructure and applications, website design/development review, performing quality assurance checks, and management of daily service delivery operations
20% - Provides guidance on operational management of Internet and Intranet development to help meet operational and strategic goals; provides recommendations to senior and executive leadership teams on items related to the overall infrastructures in Academic Technology
20% - Supervises a team of professionals including goal setting, daily operational management, performance evaluations, training, hiring, performance management.
10% - Responds to higher-level customer and stakeholder inquiries/concerns regarding project status, implementation, and maintenance.
5% - Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in any degree and five (5) years of professional experience managing web or Intranet services, which includes two years of supervisory experience.
Or
Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in any degree and seven (7) years of professional experience managing web or Intranet services, which includes two years of supervisory experience.
Or
High School Diploma/GED and nine (9) years of professional experience managing web or Intranet services, which includes two years of supervisory experience.
Desired Qualifications
A. Experience managing public cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, in a higher education environment
B. Experience managing multiple sites across a large organization, preferably using Drupal
C. Experience managing Sharepoint Online
Special Working Conditions
Most of the work will be performed remotely with potential visits to the office; therefore, candidates need to reside in the Phoenix area.
MCCCD does not sponsor individuals for any type of work visas.
May be required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor.
