About Us

Delta Consulting Group (Delta), a leading consulting firm focused on dispute resolution, project advisory, and risk mitigation, based in Woodbridge, VA, has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, talented, and detail-oriented Director of Information Technology to join our HQ office out of Woodbridge, VA to drive the company’s digital transformation. The Director of Information Technology will be responsible for developing and executing the IT strategy to align with the company’s overall business objectives. This position requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of emerging technologies. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Information Technology will be a key member on the management team and will provide the strategic vision across all aspects of information technology to include network architecture, cybersecurity, data strategies, knowledge management, and companywide innovation. Experience in information and technology management, business intelligence, enterprise technologies including Microsoft 365, web services and integrations development and management, cybersecurity, and customer focused user support are essential.

The Director of Information Technology will be professional, detailed, dependable, and trustworthy and possess a client service mindset – they will have a can-do attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Excellent communication and organization skills are a critical component of this position as well as an ability to work effectively and independently and be able to anticipate and resolve issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to enhance their skills and maximize their potential
  • In concert with Delta’s growth objectives, develop the overall vision for Information Technology which includes setting clear goals, objectives, and key performance indicators
  • Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of information systems, software applications, and IT support and infrastructure systems
  • Develop and maintain companywide Information Technology policies and standards to safeguard all data and network assets
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the company’s IT infrastructure and data through the implementation of best practices and industry standards
  • Closely monitor the performance of Information Technology and succinctly report performance to the executive leadership team and other key stakeholders monthly
  • Provide visionary leadership to the Information Technology department, fostering innovation and driving the adoption of new technologies to improve operational efficiency
  • Act as a role model for open communications and conflict resolution with ability to provide leadership and mentorship to staff
  • Plan the annual Information Technology budget and ensure its optimal use
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Partner with other members of the executive leadership team to execute on Delta’s strategic information technology plan
  • Assist staff with various endpoint and networking hardening tasks in accordance with the company’s cybersecurity plan, including maintaining firewalls, configuring VPN, managing host security, file permissions, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users in a timely fashion
  • Utilize all team members to their fullest potential ensuring that they remain focused on building and maintaining an enterprise class network and providing exceptional end user support
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, innovative, and agile thinking
  • Ensure company strategies, business plans and goals are the focus of all Information Technology initiatives

  • Prepare and deliver actionable, well-organized, presentations appropriate for varying audiences
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading tier I, II, III service teams as well as service delivery and backed end business operations, processes, and systems
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information being processed, stored, or accessed
  • Possess an understanding of budgeting processes
  • Possess an understanding of project management principles, methods, and practices
  • Work under time pressure, maintaining a professional attitude, meeting deadlines with the highest level of user satisfaction

Education/Certifications/Experience

  • Administrator level experience with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, Power BI) and Azure/Azure AD
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in progressively responsible roles within IT, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership position
  • Broad technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows network environments and operating systems
  • Industry standard cybersecurity, project management, technology certifications are highly desired
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States
  • Strong technical knowledge across a wide range of IT disciplines, including infrastructure, systems development, cybersecurity, and data management
