Job Description

About the Role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager-IT Business Relationship Manager, you will liaise between IT and the partners to help understand their technology needs. You will be aligned to a group, developing deep institutional knowledge and helping map requirements and processes to IT architecture. You will help prioritize tech-enabled projects, ensuring return on investment is realized and is aligned with the Association's Strategy.


You Will:


Delivery and Operations:

  • Shape requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
  • Use different techniques to understand requirements, such as interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.
  • Work with business and delivery teams to prioritize needs.
  • Obtain an understanding of relevant business area(s) to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
  • Guide communication between IT and the partner groups to understand their technology needs and issues.
  • Be a lead for IT projects for the group
  • Identify and help prioritize opportunities to refine business processes
  • Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks.
  • Translate conceptual user requirements into precise, detailed functional requirements.
  • Help resolve priorities between partner groups by facilitating discussions and escalating issues
  • Lead small projects to assisting other project managers on larger more complex projects
  • Create artifacts, including business case documentation, scope documentation, and process flow.
  • Document current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps
  • Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process
  • Establish a communication methodology for efficient organizational communication
  • Support delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions


Staff and Leadership:

  • Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted, complete test cases.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization and share ownership of maturing the BRM function.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment and provide mentorship to junior-level analysts.
  • Address vendor and client complaints respectfully and promptly and demonstrate the value of IT services and capabilities.


You Have:

  • Business analysis certification or similar.
  • Experience in "waterfall" and "Agile" project management methodologies preferred
  • Experience in ITIL preferred
  • 3 years of experience in business analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent years of experience).
  • Professional certification in project management preferred
