The Opportunity:


The financial impact of disinformation on brands and organizations is immense, and growing, with 87% of global executives identifying this as one of the greatest reputational risks faced by businesses today according to global communications firm Weber Shandwick. Business intelligence solutions for the disinformation age therefore require an evolved reimagination of conventional media monitoring. Blackbird is at the forefront of creating a robust defense and counter-measurement method using machine learning at its core. Fortune 500 customers and national security agencies are beginning to take notice.


Responsibilities


As an Industry Leader in Strategic Communications, you'll report to the VP of Sales and focus on our Strategic Communications solution. You'll be responsible for defining and establishing our Strategic Communications Pod. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with teams across Product, Partnerships, Marketing, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success to provide continuous feedback on messaging, positioning, solution capabilities, and the roadmap. This fully remote role is based in the US.


You will:


  • Work closely with our Sales Team to maintain a balanced pipeline of multiple opportunities that align with quarterly and annual growth targets.
  • Foster increased industry knowledge in Strategic Communications, leading to enhanced solution selling, strategic alignment, and growth across multiple segments.
  • Gain a deep understanding of Blackbird.AI's product offering and align it with the strategic needs of our clients in the brand and agency space.
  • Develop valuable insights into customer use cases, decision-making processes, budget cycles, and other essential information necessary to close sales and shape the success of this new vertical.
  • Strategize and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to acquire new customers and expand within the existing customer base for the Strategic Communications solution, collaborating closely with teammates to determine the best approach.
  • Serve as a thought leader and public speaker in the Strategic Communications Industry.
  • Lead a team focused on driving global business growth for Blackbird.AI.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience selling enterprise software/SaaS technology solutions in a fast-paced, competitive market.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated success in selling complex SaaS solutions to heads of Brand, Trust and Safety, Communications, Investor Relations, Environmental Social and Governance (ESG), Compliance, or Employer Relations.
  • Knowledge of the overall Enterprise Risk space and the challenges faced within specific market sectors is a plus.
  • Deep subject matter expertise and experience in the Strategic Communications field, including an understanding of sales processes and business drivers for clients in this industry.
