Role Overview
As a Human Resources Generalist at VFI, you'll play a vital role in shaping our company's success. Reporting directly to our CEO/President, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our human resources processes run seamlessly and our team thrives.
Location: Nationwide - Work Remotely (Based in Haymarket, VA)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Flexibility in Hours
Travel: 10%
What You'll Do
Facilitate smooth onboarding, offboarding, and employee transitions
Collaborate on recruitment efforts and engaging job postings
Partner closely with our executive team to develop and implement personnel procedures and policies
Contribute to the development of HR strategies and systems that drive company objectives
Administer Benefits, Compensation, And Employee Performance Programs
Uphold compliance with local and national regulations and proactively update policies as needed
Your Responsibilities
Provide dedicated HR advisory support covering a range of employee-relations matters
Handle administrative tasks related to onboarding and offboarding with meticulous attention to detail
Assist in payroll and accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Expertly manage Service Contract Act (SCA) employee tracking and serve as an SCA subject-matter-expert (SME)
Maintain adherence to government employment regulations, including FSLA, EEO-1, FMLA, and more
Contribute to the development and communication of HR policies and employee resources
What You Bring
Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and a strong ethical compass
Proactive problem-solving abilities and a keen understanding of HR policies and procedures
Familiarity with HRIS, HRMS, or HCM software and a quick grasp of new technical systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
HR certification, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in human resources, business, or related field
A resourceful mindset with meticulous attention to detail
Awareness of national employment laws and regulations
Familiarity with SCA contracts
