The Role

 

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the routine tasks required to administer and execute Human Resources programs for employees in various states. This includes but is not limited to actions related to, hiring, terminations, compensation, benefits and leave administration, employee relations, training and development, employee customer service, and enforcing company policies and practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field desired but not required.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include clear, concise, and professional presentation of information.
  • Must have experience with benefits program administration.
  • Collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with people of various backgrounds and styles.
  • Must ensure professionalism and confidentiality with employee data, sensitive matters, and as required.
  • Adapt to the constantly evolving world of technology systems may include but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite, HRIS’s, TPA and carrier systems.
  • 4+ years of general Human Resources experience required.
  • Must demonstrate a strong ability to:
    • Adapt and be flexible to frequent changes in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • HRIS: Data entry into various HR systems, HR reporting, complete audits, and train and assist employees with using applicable functions.
  • Employee Relations: Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Manages processes for employee recognition programs, awards, and events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Performance of the required job duties will be in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • HR Compliance: Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.    
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Pre-employment, Onboarding, & Terminations: Facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions, performs background checks, performs new hire orientation, employee verifications, exit interviews, updates records, and more.
  • Benefits & Leave Administration: Include but is not limited to, enrollments, terminations, qualifying events, billing, audits, ACA compliance, open enrollment actions, resolving issues, and guiding employees through processes effectively.
  • Training & Development: Assists with the performance development process, reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and certifications.

 

The salary range for this position is $64,300.00 - $110,334.00
