Job Description
We are looking for a temp Human Resources Generalist for a top retail company in Columbus, Ohio. This position provides administrative support for all aspects of human resources for employees, supervisory staff, and management team. This Associate level position is fully onsite.
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Ability to conduct confidential investigations related to possible employee relations, EEO, security, safety and other policy violations.
  • Own and lead specific projects in the annual HR operational plan and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Train managers on performance appraisal process or use of system. Report on usage and trends and works to improve delivery to employees.
  • Coordinate exempt staffing and recruiting as needed.
  • Ensure timely completion of annual HR processes (Performance evaluation, merit increases, talent planning, personnel planning, training etc.).
  • Develop and enhance HR Metrics, dashboards and reports for distribution to Executive Management.
  • Partner with Recruiting and HR Operations to seamlessly process the candidate through the hiring process and onboarding.
  • Participate in HR projects and implements HR programs and processes as needed, such as SOP’s.
  • Complete exit interview process on all voluntary and involuntary terminations.
  • Extract, synthesize and analyze data derived from various systems, including surveys. Use data analysis to identify trends, create and maintain dashboards, design and produce ad hoc reports and templates.
  • Assist in development of talent planning and succession planning.
  • Coordinate and maintain the performance management system including job descriptions, performance discussions, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to deescalate issues.
  • Willing to pitch in and support team in all endeavors.
  • Proactive approach; identifies and solves problems.
  • Friendly and personable with a positive outlook.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to manage change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational mindset.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills including relationship building.
