Job Description
Position Summary


The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for supporting business leadership by performing HR-related duties with detail orientation and professionalism. The position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas; HRMS/(HRIS – platform should come into team), compliance, benefits administration, (maybe: payroll administration), employee relations/engagement, training, performance management, onboarding, recruitment, affirmative action, leave, and tracking compliance of company policies and practices.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Prepares and submits Affirmative Action Plan Report
  • Plan and coordinate employee engagement and wellness events (i.e., company parties; make flyers, arrange food, and get decorations).
  • Identify training to support employee development plans and qualification matrix gaps.
  • Conducts Quarterly Audits (Mastercard, Concur, Email/phone list)
  • All Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This includes safety training, anti-harassment training, code of conduct training, employee handbook training, compliance manual training, etc.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Make all changes to payroll regarding; compensation, promotions, new hires, separations, garnishments, and benefits utilizing company-wide HRIS Systems with proficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain employee files ensuring documents and manuals are kept current, accurate, confidential and in compliance with company policies and government regulations. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Implements and maintains new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Conducts or acquires drug screens, background checks, and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Promote and write articles for our company website highlighting success stories and strategic advancements.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with team managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices.
  • Prepare HR monthly status report for submission to management.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as a witness. Performs exit interviews.


Required Qualifications


Experience and Education:


  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal communication.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent years of experience
  • Technology: Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite, HRIS system, and training platforms (LITMOS preferred)

  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to employment and hiring
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be results driven with the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel knowledge


Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, onsite, salaried exempt position with working days Monday – Friday. Must be flexible on hours due to 24/7 production schedule.


Travel: This job requires occasional travel, including travel outside the local area and overnight.


Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
