RP Professional Services, LLC (RP) is seeking a temporary, part-time Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support the corporate office located in Ashburn, VA. (At this time, this is a remote position, but willingness to meet in Ashburn, VA may be required on occasion). The ideal candidate for the temporary, part-time HR Generalist role has proven expertise in, or working knowledge of, Human Resources. This includes benefits administration, compliance, compensation, reporting, training, policy development and implementation and personnel management experience.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist in creating and distributing internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, compliance, new regulation, or company policies
  • Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs
  • Assist in developing and executing HR procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
  • Participate in development of HR objectives and systems for ongoing company requirements
  • Assist with the administration of new employee on-boarding and orientation
  • Contribute to annual performance evaluation processes and ensure timely delivery
  • Maintain employee personnel records and ensure compliance
  • Respond to human resources-related inquiries and coordinate with the appropriate internal and external entities
  • Coordinate offboarding, including involuntary terminations, conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action based on feedback
  • Support surge hiring efforts in support of contractual/transition requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assist in the upkeep of employee handbook and other company policies and procedures while taking initiative to contribute to policy development and implementation


Requirements


Required Qualification:


  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist
  • The ability to work for any US employer without requiring sponsorship
  • Bachelors degree
  • 3 years HR Generalist experience


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Additional HR training or experience is a plus
  • Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and significant knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems (iSolved/PROCAS), and the ability to learn new technical as needed
  • Knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations
  • Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
