Job Description

Our client, a leading Boston area non profit, is seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director. As the HR Director, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of HR functions, ensuring the development and implementation of effective strategies. Your expertise will contribute to the success and growth of our organization, enabling us to attract and retain a talented workforce committed to our social justice mission. This role is remote but does require travel to the office in Boston on occasion.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the organization's social justice mission and goals.
  • Drive HR strategy development, including diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with employment laws and regulations.
  • Oversee talent acquisition efforts, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Manage compensation and benefits administration, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify HR priorities and initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, and HR strategy development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) certifications preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Non-profit sector experience preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
