Join a team - The Director of Human Resources provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organization s HR operations and in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. The Director is responsible for legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices. As directed, may identify and implement long-range strategic talent management goals in the areas of succession planning, talent management, change management, organization development, learning and development, compensation and benefits. This leadership role entails both strategic and tactical functions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management-level HR staff.
Oversees the daily workflow and operations of the department.
Provides constructive and timely performance feedback for HR employee development.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Functions as a strategic business partner and advisor to executive and senior management team and develops HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business
operations objectives.
Provides leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition and
development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, labor relations,
compensation, and benefits.
Provides coaching and counsel to leadership, department heads, and supervisors on
employment related issues such as hiring, performance management, employment separation
and employee relations.
Provides direction, guidance, and leadership to the human resource management team; assists
with resolution of human resource, workers compensation, compensation, and benefits
questions, concerns, and issues.
May recruit, interview and facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates; collaborates with
department leader to understand, knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies required for
open position.
Supports and oversees organization s Internship program; may direct and participate university
and industry recruitment events.
May attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings and/or employment separation
meetings.
Serves as company representative for employment litigation, investigations including workers
compensation negotiations and settlements.
May leverage strong business acumen to analyze HR metrics and people trends, utilizing data to support ideas and solutions.
Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human
resources, and talent management and may recommend necessary changes in policy and
practice to executive leadership. Serves and is regarded as in-house expert.
Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, workers compensation, and other
laws, regulations, and requirements.
Collaborates with department heads and organization leaders to build a positive, employee centric and fun work environment and company culture.
May participate in professional development and networking conferences and events.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master s degree is a plus.
At least 10+ years of human resource management experience required.
Organization and leadership development experience is a plus.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.


The salary range for this position is: $140,000 - $180,000. This salary range does not include any
discretionary profit sharing bonus and other benefits which may impact total compensation. The base
salary may vary based on experience, qualifications, speciality, training, and market and other business
considerations.
