Job Overview/Purpose:
As a hands-on position, the HR Generalist operates as providing counsel and coaching, consulting with the leaders to provide customized, practical HR and talent solutions to address challenges across a range of HR functions including , employee relations, performance improvement plans, immigration, engagement and culture. The HR Generalist is responsible for adding value to the business through broad spectrum HR knowledge and demonstrating a functional expertise and business acumen. The HR Generalist is responsible for executing our strategic people initiatives, providing exceptional internal customer support and supporting HR functional excellence and process improvement. The HR Generalist must operate as a strong team player, building and leveraging strong relationships and business expertise. The role responds to questions posed by managers and/or employees and addresses the needs or concerns related to the employment experience. The HR Generalist will bring a different perspective, new insights and a sense of partnership to the relationship he/she will build with the management team and employees.
Manage the immigration process and global employee assignments through high-level administration and subject matter coaching to managers.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
· Develop close working relationship with all employees, managers and Team Leaders and to gain an understanding of their business strategies and people requirements.
· Understand and support business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within North America Region.
· Advises management of risks associated with current business practices and recommends improvements by providing expertise to management in employee relations, employee motivation and local, state and federal employment laws.
· Supports, develops, creates and implements HR-related projects, programs and specific business area initiatives.
· Provide high quality customer service and resource management.
· Coach managers through daily employee relations challenges..
· Ensures that Human Resources needs are met in a timely manner at all times. Responsible for providing the highest level of customer service and accessibility to field management and employees.
· Maintains communication with departments on all Human Resources related issues. Reports recommendations and human resources strategy alternatives to Senior Managers.

- Must be familiar with and comply with laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures that are applicable to required job duties.

Qualifications:
(Any essential qualifications that a person is required to possess)
Essential:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field. Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Human Resources ideally with experience in the financial serviced industry.
· Computer proficiency with MS Word and Excel, Outlook and Internet required. Strong research, writing and communications skills are essential. Must possess excellent human relations and communication skills and work effectively without direct supervision. Effective time management and organizational skills required.
· Exhibits high degree of professionalism and confidentiality in handling and having access to sensitive employee information. This position requires the use of tact, discretion and good judgment.
· Experience managing areas including, Employee Relations, etc. Must exhibit ability to make administrative decisions. Some travel required – up to 15%
