Closing Date: June 19th, 2023 or upon receipt of the first 50 application submissions Administrative Assistant Department of Human Resources (DHR) Hourly Pay Range: $21.82 - $24.92 Job Summary: Under direction of the Employee Relations Director, The HR Administrative Assistant will provide a wide range of high-level HR administrative support to DHR, including staffing the front desk. The HR Adminstrative Assistant is responsible for scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, paying DHR service invoices, reconcile and process unemployment insurance payments for Milwaukee County and supports the HRMA function across the employee relations division. Job Responsibilities:
  • Backup for HR Analyst & RPS Office Coordinator
  • Update website landing page for Human Resources & labor relations pages via Titan CMS
  • Prepare division communications as directed by ER Director. Submit collective bargaining files to Legistar, may submit personnel action reports. Supports HRMA function across ER Division.
  • Conduct in person New Employee Orientations for DHR new hires. Schedule introductory meetings with DHR managers and leaders.

Ability to follow simple instructions; create reports, short correspondence, and memos; speak effectively before both internal and/or external groups; ability to maintain a continuing working relationship which can have a significant effect on the success of the organization; skilled in the use of PC's, laptops and cell phone; ability to work effectively and harmoniously with peers and client departments; ability to maintain sensitive or confidential information.
