PRIMARY PURPOSE: The core objective of the HRIT Systems Analyst role is to provide IT support, leadership and assistance where needed for the Simon Payroll and Human Resources applications and infrastructure. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining all Simon IT processes, including but not limited to Change Management and audit requirements. You will work closely with the HRIS team, HR functional resources, and IT Infrastructure. They are expected to leverage exceptional technical, business analysis, and project management skills to solve complex business issues. The HR-IT Systems Analyst will be expected to take on roles in additional projects and initiatives where their skills and abilities are necessary.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Serve as the primary resource for all technology and data needs and solutions related to Simon’s Human Resources strategies and processes including but not limited to Integrations, Security, custom reports, business processes, EIBS, Document transformation, and advanced tools
  • Partner and collaborate with HRIS in the ongoing design, configuration, deployment, and upgrades of the human capital management application
  • Collaborate with appropriate customers to conduct analysis on future initiatives or enhancements
  • Project management as assigned (perform at coordinator level)
  • Maintains strategic focus on building strong relationships with key customers, understanding the business and delivering quality applications and/or processes that support business needs
  • Provide strategic technical direction and thought leadership
  • In partnership with Simon Human Resources, ensure the stability, security, confidentiality and availability of all HR systems in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and organizational practices
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to Simon Payroll and Human Resources Infrastructure and application solutions. (supporting system integrations, troubleshooting and resolving errors, etc.)
  • Develop business relationships and integrate activities with the IS department to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts
  • Leverages previous experience to assist is areas of expertise when requested
  • Participate with other IS staff, customers, and other stakeholders in project reviews, tests, pilots, requirement gathering, and review of documentation
  • Evaluate application software packages and make recommendations to management
  • Contributes a perspective that spans the disciplines of technology, business analysis, and project management
  • Identify conflicting business practices and integration issues, suggesting alternative solutions
  • Perform feasibility studies, translating requirements into an appropriate design
  • Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IS colleagues
  • Create, validate, and execute test scenarios for recommended configuration changes to ensure that all business requirements have been met
  • Other responsibilities as required
Skills and Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years IT and/or HR experience with background in strategic alignment of systems/technology with business needs
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
  • Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on expertise managing systems development in new computing architectures; knowledge of relevant technology tools and middleware is critical.
  • Ability to handle multiple high priority items simultaneously
  • Strong project management skills, operating as part of a team organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation. May be asked to manage projects on occasion
  • Strong background in integrating disparate business systems
  • Ability to work independently and in groups with minimal supervision
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instruction furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy
  • Able to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines
  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks
  • Ability to direct process improvement efforts
  • Experience working with and maintaining sensitive and confidential information
  • Recent experience supporting and working with UKG or Workday Software is a plus
  • Process driven with a strong knowledge of systems and system infrastructure
