The A.C. Coy Company is currently hiring for an HR Generalist position in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Ideal candidates will need a Bachelors degree in HR, Business, or equivalent with 7 years of relevant work experience.


Responsibilities


  • Under direction of the Human Resources Manager, assist with management of the HRIS system including all payroll functions, performance evaluations, recruitment, on-boarding, and benefit management
  • Assist with benefit related activities when necessary
  • Handle employee relation issues including but not limited to offers of employment, harassment claims, terminations, attendance related matters, and other employee questions or concerns
  • Responsible for all aspects of the recruitment process including but not limited to attendance at career fairs, placement of recruitment ads, use of social media sites, phone and email screens, in-person interviews, scheduling of pre-employment screens, and orientation
  • Create and administer internal training programs. Document and process training records according to internal company ISO standards. Schedule external trainings as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for the processing of payroll and analyzing of payroll reports for variances and trends. Use reporting functionality to create and distribute reports as necessary


Qualifications


Education


  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or equivalent from an accredited school is required


Skills


  • Must possess strong understanding of HR law including ADA, ADEA, FMLA, EEO, and the NLRA
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience with HRIS systems is required, experience with Paylocity preferred
  • Seven (7) + years of relevant experience is required, or ten (10) + years’ relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Three plus years of recruitment experience required
  • Occasional travel required
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience with an ISO certified company is preferred
  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • PHR or SHRM-CP professional certification is preferred
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, presentation skill
