Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year


Job Type: Full-time


Shift and Schedule: 8-hour shift


About The Role


We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team. As the HR Generalist, you will be responsible for managing payroll and HR processes for our site. You will act as the primary point of contact for HR-related matters and build strong relationships with both leadership and employees, ensuring a balance between employee advocacy and organizational objectives.


Responsibilities


  • Compile and process weekly payroll data, ensuring accuracy and collaborating with local leadership and corporate Payroll as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal responsibilities.
  • Coordinate the recruiting process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding of new hires.
  • Reconcile temporary workforce payroll and billing.
  • Actively participate in all site HR, benefit, and wellness activities, such as new hire eligibility, open enrollment, life events, and general inquiries.
  • Collaborate with local leadership to proactively address HR matters and foster strong relationships with both leadership and employees.
  • Participate in Corporate HR projects.
  • Coordinate Workers Compensation claims and reporting in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update employee data in HRIS (Human Resources Information System).


Qualifications


  • Excellent organizational and Excel skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in Human Resources.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Payroll.


Preferred Qualifications


  • 3 years of experience with ADP.
  • Ability to travel locally up to 20% and within the US up to 10%.
  • Experience with union environments.
  • Current SHRM-CP or PHR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business or Human Resources.
