- Synthesize insights and observations from across the organization to identify improvement areas in HR processes and propose solutions for addressing them.
- Be a resource for individual contributors across the teams you support.
- Coach managers on performance management, feedback, employee development and career pathing.
- Identify and handle employee relations issues quickly and sensitively, exercising good judgment and discretion, and partner with our Employee Relations and Employment Counsel teams, as appropriate.
- Work with the other HRBP’s and members of the broader People team to help roll out various Etsy wide People programs and initiatives, such as, Etsy’s performance management, talent, compensation and internal mobility processes.
- Support the Senior Manager, HR Business Partner on organizational design, hiring and compensation decisions.
- Collaborate closely with our HR partner teams to support business line priorities.

- Build strong trusted relationships and credibility across all levels of management.
- Experience working in a dynamic, constantly evolving business with corporate functions
- You can effectively strike the right balance of being an advisor to the business but also an advocate for employees
- A trust in and commitment to Etsy’s vision, mission and core values
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and organization
- Demonstrated sound judgment, and the ability to negotiate critical situations appropriately, with poise, under difficult circumstances.
- You have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Knowledge of basic U.S. employment law (ie: FMLA and ADA)
- Experience working with Corporate teams is a plus
- 5 years working in a People/HR function and 1-2 years in an HR Business Partner role, experience working in Technology, specifically supporting Engineering is a plus.
- Ability to negotiate complex and confidential situations with confidence and finesse
