Job Description

General Position Summary:

The HR Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst II serves as an analytics specialist and will be instrumental in transforming HR data into meaningful visualizations and reports to empower HR leaders and stakeholders with the information needed to optimize HR strategies. The HR BI Analyst II provides the HR department with data analysis, reporting, and dashboard solutions that will enable the achievement of the department’s overall goals.


They will be responsible for leveraging their expertise in data analytics, business intelligence, and HR knowledge to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making within the HR function.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth data analysis and mining to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within HR data.
  • Design and create comprehensive HR dashboards, org charts, reports, and scorecards that present key HR metrics and KPIs to HR leadership and stakeholders.
  • Translate data findings into clear and understandable insights that drive HR strategy and decision-making.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis to support HR leadership in addressing specific HR challenges and opportunities.
  • Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to create user-friendly and interactive HR reports that enable self-service analytics for HR users.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership and other HR teams to understand their reporting needs and deliver actionable insights, and manage projects through MS Project.
  • Collect and consolidate HR data from various sources, including HRIS, performance management tools, employee surveys, and other relevant data sources.
  • Develop and maintain data integration processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date HR data is available for analysis.


Requirements:

  • Knowledge of SQL preferred.
  • Experience (2+ years) as an HR BI Analyst or in a similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) in Power BI
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and changing direction of projects and strategies.
  • Advanced skills in business intelligence and data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Visio, Tableau, or similar platforms and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.


Physical Requirements:

The work is of an intellectual nature. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is required to stand and sit for prolonged periods. Specific vision abilities required include close and medium distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal sounds, distinguish sound as voice and communicate through human speech. This position requires the ability to operate a keyboard, computer mouse, telephone, fax, copier, writing tools, and other standard office equipment. On an occasion, an employee will be asked to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs.
