Job Description
KCN Campgrounds - Human Resource Assistant


The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for performing HR- related duties on a professional level and will work closely with the General Manager and Ownership team. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment/employment, onboarding, policy implementation, benefits, employee relations and employee law compliance.


Performance Responsibilities


  • Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensure proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
  • Distribute and monitors employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner
  • Provide operations support on issues such as talent and performance management and employment law
  • Liaise with employees, supervisors, managers, co-workers in problem resolution
  • Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employee and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes.
  • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; Periodically audits Forms I-9
  • Assist/lead the development of HR processes, policies and systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Assist in the day to day Human Resource operations of the company
  • Acts as an employee relations specialist
  • Reports, maintains and monitors all workers' compensation case file; follows up on open cases
  • Assist with the recruiting and onboarding process


JOB Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Proficient with MS Word & Excel
  • 2-5 years of HR experience including 2 years direct involvement in employee relations
  • Experience with industry standard HR software and service providers (iSolved, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, FB, regional job boards, social networking)
  • Prior Hospitality, specifically RV/Campground/Guest Svcs. Housekeeping recruitment experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task with attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, team player with excellent people skills.
  • ATS Knowledge preferred
  • High level of discretion with confidential material
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, follow-up, problem solving and creative thinking skills

Maintenance/Grounds Team Supervisor
REPORTS TO
Campground Manager, General Manager and/or Owner(s)
Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring the general maintenance and upkeep of the campground buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds are kept to KOA standards. Delegating specific tasks to employees and following up on their progress.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
  • Complete as well as oversee carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs, and maintenance to campground buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds as directed by the Campground Manager or the owner(s).
  • Provide superior customer service by being attentive, responsive and helpful to guests needs. Report all customer problems, requests or complaints to the Campground Manager or the owner(s).

  • Comply with all KOA, federal, state and local safety programs by adhering to established guidelines in the operation and storage of various equipment, tools, and chemicals, ensuring your safety, as well as that of fellow staff and campground customers.
  • Oversee daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and cleaning programs as instituted by the Campground Manager or the owner(s), including the pool/spa, lawn mowing, weed eating, landscaping, garbage pick-up, propane pumping, game machine, propane grills, laundry servicing and various other campground equipment upkeep.
EXPECTED RESULTS
  • Campground buildings, facilities and grounds are well-maintained and fully operational.
  • Demonstration of a positive attitude with guests, management, and team members.
  • NPS scores reflect a clean and well maintained campground.
  • Projects are completed properly, safely and timely.
  • Use of safe work practices for a secure work environment for staff and campground guests.
Job Qualifications
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Intermediate knowledge of chemical properties, handling, and usage
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical and plumbing equipment and installation
  • Capable of delegating out projects and following up on said project.
  • Ability to lead by example and be a role model.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Capable of managing a group of employees.
  • Intermediate knowledge of propane and gasoline dispensing
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch and climb
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly
  • Must be able to operate various loud and vibrating maintenance tools and equipment
  • Long periods of standing
  • Requires the use of hands/fingers to handle or feel
  • Able to travel by auto
  • Able to work inside and outdoors frequently and in various climates
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
  • Capable of moving safely over uneven terrain
