Here's What You'll Do

The HOUSE LEAD is responsible to assist the Administrator with the coordination of thehome so that the residents’ health and safety needs are met. The House Leadassists to maintain compliance under the California Code of Regulations (CCR),Title 17 and Title 22 as well as the Lanterman Act (Welfare and InstitutionsCode). The House Lead is expected to ensure residents to maximize independence,trains and mentors direct support professional staff.

Essential Functions

Knowledge of regional center, department of social services, department of developmental services, and state council on developmental disabilities. Title 17 and 22, dual diagnosis, and IPP. Ability to engage in service recipients’ hygiene, manages behavior problems, and meets other challenges. Ability to handle sensitive issues while protecting others' welfare, ability to be honest, reliable, dependable, and professional at all times. Ability to be organized and task oriented. Provide care, supervision and training to the consumers in accordance with their Individual Behavior Support Plan, facility program design and trainings. Provide oversight of all household activities assuring timely and high quality completion of all tasks Follow physician's directions, including assisting the client with the administration of medication and other treatment Implement approved emergency procedures in the event of a fire, earthquake, or other natural disasters Participate in the development of the Individual Program Plan (IPP) Provide transportation to medical and dental appointments, community outings and as otherwise outlined in the IPP - using company approved vehicle (this may include company vehicles and employee's vehicle) Maintain a record of medical and dental visits, current weight, medication (dosage), frequency and times of administration, reasons for medications, (side effects), illnesses, injuries, special incidents, funds, and personal possessions etc. Develop a shopping list to purchase food and supplies as instructed Assist the Administrator in preparing meals according to posted menus Assist the Administrator in completing and implementing Corrective Action Plans, Coaching Employees’ with advice and guidance intended to develop individual’s skills, performance and career. Communicate on a regular basis with Regional Center, day programs, and other services providers and agencies, as needed Maintain a master calendar of appointments, facility activities, meetings with Regional Center, etc. Support DSPs to maximize the clients’ independence The House Lead is required to work opposite schedule with the Administrator that including of weekend Perform other related duties and assignments are required Education and Experience

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED, CPR/1st AID, CPI, DSP 1

& 2. Minimum Experience: One year experience with direct supervision and services to persons with developmental disabilities. Minimum Driving

Experience: Must have a valid in-state driver’s license, be over 21, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2

points within the last 3 years. Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 50lbs. Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. * The Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check, physical, etc.*
