The Sales Manager is responsible for management and execution of the hotel’s overall sales and marketing strategy, and includes:

Savara Hospitality is seeking an experienced Sales professional to join its team as Sales Manager.
The Sales Manager is responsible for management and execution of the hotel’s overall sales and marketing strategy, and includes:
- Managing lead sources to ensure quantity and quality of leads
- Developing and maintaining long term business relationships with existing and future clients, and ensuring a consistent stream of repeat business
- Conducting tours and client planning meetings in coordination with the banquet manager
- Supporting operations and revenue teams as needed, and perform other duties as assigned. The Company reserves the right to add or change at any time.
- Responding to RFPs and sales leads for group and event business
- Displaying awareness and compliance with hotel’s security, safety, emergency and energy procedures.
- Conducting property tours and fielding inquiries from potential customers who visit the hotel
- Monitoring of new sales opportunities, establishing contact with potential clients, and working with potential clients through the sales process
- Seeking new customers through strategic outbound sales efforts for group, extended stay, and transient business alongside meetings and events
- Working with chef to develop and price catering menus
- Posting all banquet billing charges on the day of the event.
- Working with clients on event planning and providing support to clients during events hosted at hotel
- Development of proposals and sales contracts for events and group blocks hosted at hotel
- Requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Sales and Marketing role at hotel of similar size and quality and 1 year of food and beverage experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills and detail orientation, the ability to multi-task and think outside the box, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to understand customer requirements and translate these into sales solutions across all market segments
- Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit
- Strong background in selling rooms, including thorough knowledge of sales techniques
- BA/BS , 4-5 year degree or foreign equivalency preferred, but not required
- Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule
- Sensitivity to guest satisfaction, with a keen attention to exceeding guest expectations
- Deep experience with banquets and food and beverage operations
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with different types of personalities using sound judgment and discretion
- Strong finance, accounting, and quantitative skills
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time and climb stairs
- Able to walk hallways and perimeter of property
- Able to twist, bend and reach
