Horticulture Procurement Manager Jobs

We are growing! Juniper Landscaping is one of Florida’s premier full-service landscaping companies employing over 2000 employees with 24 locations and growing. We are currently seeking a Horticulture Procurement Manager to support our Central Florida branches as we continue to grow in this market.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Sourcing, acquiring, and coordinating the delivery of plant material for the branches in the specified region

· Communicating with the branches regarding plant material deliveries

· Identifying shortfalls in plant inventory and providing alternatives

· Ensuring plant material meets or exceeds the state’s grades and standards for nurseries or municipalities

· Coordinating with other Horticulture Procurement Managers to maximize deliveries utilizing cross logistics sources

· Developing positive relationships with Landscape Architects, Developers, Owner’s Reps and Vendors

· Visiting vendors to tag plant material as needed

· Requesting and providing submittal photos for plant materials when required

· Building interdepartmental relationships and supporting other regional branches as needed

· Issuing and approving purchase orders

· Reconciling and approving invoices for plant materials

· Sourcing and pricing new suppliers as needed

· Negotiating the best pricing for product materials and delivery fees

· Providing updated pricing or special pricing of projects requested from the estimating team

· Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Skills and Requirements:

• Task oriented and able to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Purchasing experience
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to clear Motor Vehicle Record check
• Strong organization and communication skills (oral and written)
• Knowledge of the state’s current Grades and Standards
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the landscape industry
• Knowledge of landscape plant material
• High School or equivalent GED
