What You’ll Do


IronArch Technology is seeking a Help Desk Specialist to provide Tier 3 Desktop support to join our team. The Help Desk Specialist will perform technical, operational, and training support to users and technical teams, for PC desktop hardware, output devices, and software packages to support our Army Corps of Engineers – Revolutionary Information Technology Services (RITS) program. The RITS program provides modern and secure enterprise-wide IT support services to approximately 37,000 USACE customers located throughout the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS).


Responsibilities Will Include


  • Troubleshoot output devices, PC’s, and peripheral incidents, performs hardware and software diagnostics, coordinates needed repairs, resolves output device system problems, including coordination between users and components of a local area network, and participates in the evaluation of system configuration and software.
  • Install and test output devices, PC’s, and other peripherals, configure operating system, load shrink-wrap programs and other application software programs.
  • Ensuring printer firmware and CAC software are in compliance, and work instructions are current.


Requirements


  • 4+ years of professional, applicable experience
  • Must obtain appropriate DoD 8570 IA Computing Environment Certification within 6 months of employment
  • Demonstrated experience writing process documentation
  • Experience using Remedy or a similar ticketing system
  • Ability to work well independently on defined tasks
  • Normal work hours are Monday through Friday; 8 hour shift between 6AM and 6PM local time. After hours support may be required on an infrequent basis
  • AA/AS degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Experience supporting Windows 10, and MS Office 2013
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • May need to travel
  • Ability to coordinate and get cooperation from multiple areas within IT to accomplish assignments
  • Strong analytical and follow through skills
  • Experience installing and configuring firmware, and CAC authentication software on printer devices
  • Secret Clearance required prior to start
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level I (examples: A+ CE, Network+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security certifications)
  • Prior experience in the maintenance and repair of printers manufactured by HP, Ricoh, Xerox, and Lexmark. Experience should include the use of vendor proprietary configuration tools, monitoring tools, and coordinating third party warranty repairs


Preferred Qualifications


  • Army MOS 25B experience desired .
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting a plus
  • Experience using SharePoint to organize and store documents
  • Prior USACE/ACE-IT experience
  • Experience supporting Office 365
  • Experience working in a DoD environment
