The successful candidate will work on the Help Desk and, over a phased approach, be able to take calls as well as handle a variety of Help Desk tasks that a current Help Desk team member handles. The intern will be paired with a current HD technician to mentor them. The Intern will job shadow for one week before beginning their duties. Students will switch mentors every two months (or longer) and between roles. Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day to day work routine for self and others.
This position may be eligible for scholarship funding.
- The successful candidate must be currently enrolled in a two (2) or four (4) year undergraduate IT program.
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
- May be required to maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
- This position is located onsite in Bismarck, ND.
- Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
- Working approximately 20 hrs/week during the school year. Up to 40 hours may be available during summer and breaks.

- Technical training, troubleshooting
- Printer maintenance and supplies
- Customer service coaching
- Reports
- Software Requests, Software Installs
- Mobile device support
- Administrative Tasks, Inventory Management
- Phone Support, Email Support
- Inventory, AD, and BES cleanup
The Help Desk Intern may get exposure to the other Enterprise IT groups.
Hourly Wage: $17.50
