Job Description

Intrinsic is searching for an agile and highly collaborative Head of Supply Chain to scale the supply chain for our global CPG platform. Reporting directly to the CFO and managing a team, the Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for end-to-end supply chain management across our portfolio of women’s health brands.


This position can be fully remote or hybrid based at our headquarters in NYC.


As Head of Supply Chain you will be accountable for the following:

  1. All aspects of the supply chain from co-manufacturing to fulfillment of products from brands we acquire and operate, particularly Demand and Supply Planning, Logistics, Customer Order Management, and Fulfillment (supporting order to cash)
  2. Driving a coherent Supply chain strategy to maximize service levels, optimize inventory levels, reduce COGs and identify and implement systemic solutions.
  3. Key partner to Brand and Finance to own Inventory, working capital management and COGs process and visibility of the brands.
  4. Key partner to Sales to develop the ideal supply chain for different channels of distribution to drive growth and optimize cost-to-serve.
  5. Key thought partner/advisor to acquisitions by undertaking extensive due diligence of the brands we are in the process of acquiring. The due diligence would cover inventory levels to maximize service, BOM COGs validation,mapping out the viability of the supply chain network and identifying synergies
  6. Manage and develop the team as well as be a hands-on operator to achieve the objectives


What You’ll Do


  • Adhere to regulatory and ESG requirements of products and manufacturers across a wide variety of product categories.
  • Responsible for building all elements of the supply chain function and delivering improvements to favorably impact COGS/margin.
  • Ensure capacity planning to support current and future business needs.
  • Develop and implement a strategy for managing excess/unsellable inventory and capping customer returns.
  • Manage the Amazon FBA, Wholesale and Retail relationships to ensure compliance and best vendor status, especially as it relates to the delivery and fulfillment of goods.
  • Work closely with the finance function on delivering target inventory levels and COGs.
  • Work with 3PL(s) on managing flow of goods, return processing and other needed functions such as packaging, labeling, and boxing according to retailer requirements.
  • Source third party quality testing as needed.
  • Implement and integrate appropriate technology systems - including ERP, PLM, Demand. Planning, EDI, Amazon and other platforms such as customer service and shipping/delivery/logistics.


What You’ll Need


  • 10-15 years’ work experience, including 5+ years in a managerial role in supply chain, inventory planning, and logistics/fulfillment or a related field.
  • Proven track record in building, managing and leading teams..
  • 5+ years managing remote teams.
  • Experience managing 500+ SKUs and 50+ suppliers in a fast-paced environment with high variability particularly in retail/e-commerce (Amazon, Shopify, eBay, etc.) and consumer goods.
  • Experience in S&OP, Supply and Demand Planning, reporting and automation.
  • Experience in ERP Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay & Inventory Planning modules.

Technical Skills


  • Inventory management modeling, forecasting, reporting and automation
  • Experience in S&OP, Supply and Demand Planning, reporting and automation.
  • Proven track record in building, managing and leading teams..
  • EDIs and other order management tools as well as NetSuite is a plus.
  • Manufacturing & warehousing & logistics management
  • Experience in ERP Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay & Inventory Planning modules.
  • Implementing process improvements
