Job Description
Tropicana Brands Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Retail Strategy to join our team. As the Head of Retail Strategy, you will be responsible for leading Tropicana’s retail strategy, including assortment strategies, SKU optimization, category management, account segmentation, channel strategy, channel execution, shopper insights, and the creation of retailer-centric sales material. You will be instrumental in driving growth and profitability for the Tropicana Brands Group, while also building and leading a high-performing team.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development of retailer-centric sales material that aligns with brand goals and objectives.
  • Define the optimal account segmentation based on customer needs and purchasing behavior and execute tailored category and product strategies.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing team, including category management, channel strategy, channel execution, and shopper insights.
  • Demonstrate a relentless focus on increasing the availability, visibility and activation of TBG’s portfolio.
  • Create and implement an optimal SKU strategy that maximizes category performance and financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a consistent customer experience and build a strong Tropicana Brands Group presence across channels.
  • Develop and implement assortment strategies by channel and account that result in increased revenue and profit growth.
  • Serve as a thought leader and influencer to industry trade publications and associations in the areas of category development, assortment strategies and SKU optimization.
  • Develop and execute retail strategies to achieve brand growth, revenue, and profit targets through effective assortment strategies, SKU optimization, category management, account segmentation, channel execution, and shopper insights.


Qualifications:


  • Passion for the CPG industry and the ability to serve as a thought leader and influencer to industry trade publications and associations, particularly in the areas of assortment strategies and SKU optimization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adapt quickly to change.
  • 10+ years of experience in retail strategy with a focus on assortment strategies and SKU optimization, category management, and account segmentation with a proven track record of delivering results and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategies.
