Job Description
TransferRoom is a hyper-growth B2B SaaS business on a mission to change the football transfer market for the better. We do this by empowering football clubs, agents and players to be successful in the transfer market by giving them real-time market intelligence and direct access to a global network of decision-makers.


Since our launch in 2017, clubs have used TransferRoom to facilitate over 3,000 transfers, and we are proud that today over 650 clubs from 60+ countries and 100+ leagues are currently using the platform.


We're looking for a Head of Player Management to lead a newly established team in TransferRoom to help strengthen our player acquisition efforts, build and maintain our player relations and develop a strong commercial offering to all players.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Support market and data insight gathering through customer surveys and interviews with players
  • Co-develop the commercial model for players in cooperation with our Product and Strategy teams
  • Own all dialogues with national Player Associations to push awareness and player acquisition efforts through the associations
  • Lead our Player Rep Management team of 2-3 Player Managers including day-to-day line management responsibilities
  • Work with Marketing to identify and coordinate marketing initiatives towards players
  • Take a data driven approach toward identifying problems and evaluating solutions to our player management and acquisition efforts (together with Marketing)
  • Travel to meet with players, Player Associations and potential partners
  • Help define and execute our Player Management strategy and player acquisition efforts
  • Own the relationship with Senior Player profiles and potential TransferRoom player Ambassadors (if relevant)


Who You Are


  • 3+ years of experience from role (s) in either sports marketing and player endorsement from top sport apparel companies (e.g. Nike, Adidas, Puma) or experience working with other football related roles (e.g. football league / association, former professional player with business experience post-retirement)
  • Team player who is also capable of working independently
  • Strong commercial, marketing and growth-driven mindset
  • Experience within Tech and ideally SaaS and/or marketplace platforms is a plus
  • Experience in working with professional football players directly and with a strong network and relationships with current professional football players
  • Fluent in English is a requirement and fluency in one additional language (e.g. Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Scandinavian etc.) is preferred
  • Good communicator - both verbal and written
  • +2 years of line management experience
