OVERVIEW OF ASSIGNMENT:
This Includes
Collaboration on McClatchy’s News Experimentation projects across research and marketing. A creative mind to consider platform-agnostic news and information consumption.

• Product launches - Work with our engineering team to understand what goes into creating a product roadmap and working toward a launch timeline, including analytics, marketing, content, and planning.
• Channel exploration - Exploring marketing themes and creating new marketing campaigns across platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and text. This can include partnerships with influencers, promotions, and video templates.
• Qualitative and quantitative research - Understanding how news research works, and participating in note-taking and sorting for user interviews.
• Cross-platform marketing implementation - Help create our marketing timeline and measure successes or pivot points.
• Project management - Learning planning, writing product requirement documents, and business requirement documents for new projects.

Skills Desired

• Must consume news and information, preferably on platforms and apps rather than newsprint.
• A great desire to learn
• Creative skills and an interest in thinking outside of the box
