SALARY RANGE: Full Time Role - $65,000 - $80,000 (we would also consider Part Time applicants)

Position Summary

This is a full time role working with a leading content creation company across multiple accounts. The Hair & Make Up Artist (HMU) reports directly to the Executive Creative Director, but will work very closely with Art Directors, Photographers, Stylists and Production teams as well as clients. In this role, the HMU Artist will style adults and children for several high-volume fashion, jewelry and beauty retailers.

The HMU artist will have the opportunity to work on-set on a daily basis with many different models. The candidate must be proficient at styling all hair textures, interpreting direction, and collaborative. The candidate must be able to follow client-specific styling guidelines, and engage with a wide range of creatives across all disciplines.

The candidate must have on-set experience, be attentive and detail oriented, and able to work in a fast paced environment. This role requires a proven capability in working with all skin tones and hair textures. A successful candidate possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills and has an elevated sensibility. We are looking for a true team player and problem solver who loves what they do.

A can-do attitude is a must, with a willingness to roll up sleeves and dive in. Strong ability to prioritize work flow and pivot between responsibilities as no two days will be alike.

Primary Responsibilities

• Liaise between the other beauty team members and Art Directors to disseminate information and maintain adherence to guidelines set forth by the client
• Guide freelance HMU stylists and assistants to ensure brand guidelines are followed and styling meets standards and productivity goals
• Meet high creative standards on-set daily
• Partner with creative team to identify efficiencies: propose and implement workflow improvements
• Keep track of styling supplies needed and re-order as necessary
• Maintain high level or organization on set
• Partner with creative team to establish documentation for on-set styling guidelines

The salary range represents the expected salary range for this role. Ultimately, compensation is determined by level of experience, location, and other job-related factors.
