General Summary
The Group Customer Care Associate is a client-facing role that is responsible for servicing and maintaining cooperative relationships with employer groups, plan administrators, and brokers for Atlantic American’s Group Market division. This role will serve as an expert in the Group Customer Care department. .
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Interact professionally with clear, effective, communication and set the appropriate expectations on timeline of deliverables
- Handle inquiries, such as form requests, claims status, contact changes, billing questions
- Provide timely responses to the client or broker
- Provide service and administrative support to Group Market accounts and build strong relationships with both clients and brokers/consultants
- Execute transactions in our policy administration system based on the direction and the needs of the client
- Research and resolve customer service inquiries
- Conduct timely follow-ups as needed to keep client / broker informed of status
- Answer inbound calls and e-mails from clients and brokers.
This is an on-site position that offers a hybrid schedule after 90 days.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent previously related work experience desired;
- Minimum of 3 years of general corporate office experience required;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service
- Strong verbal / written communication and organizational skills to effectively communicate and interact with all levels and functions within the organization
- Excellent planning and organizational skills and above average trouble-shooting ability
- Group Insurance and/or Voluntary Benefits Insurance experience are required
