Client is looking to hire a Graphic Designer for a 20-hour/week 12-month contract with possibility for extension.
The Graphic Designer position will be responsible for applying their expertise to internal and external communications, with a focus in social media, infographics, presentation decks, and a number of other communication-related graphics. The ideal candidate is a great visual storyteller, showcases strong design and composition skills, is able to work in a fast-paced environment, and has great attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Duties
Work with managers, producers, and clients to conceptualize, design and produce digital experiences around key communications initiatives
Drive the ideation and creation of custom materials for social media, presentations, and internal channels
Execute ad hoc day-to-day creative needs
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications And Skills
Experience as a digital graphic designer demonstrating a deep understanding of brand guidelines, while also exhibiting risk taking and innovation with how to represent the company visually
Strong typographical and photo editing/manipulation
Outstanding online portfolio which demonstrates ideation, graphic design, presentation design, as well as brand system implementation
Strong conceptual and executional skills, with a focus on visual storytelling (showcasing the ability to make complicated visual concepts accessible and engaging)
Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop. InDesign and After Effects a plus.
Ability to understand a creative brief and develop creative that aligns with the project's goals within the established parameters
Well-versed in fundamental design principles and innovative design trends
Experience in the technology industry or related field a plus
Able to multi-task and work in a fluid, fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented & a highly motivated self-starter
Outstanding creative approach to problem solving
Excellent communication skills
A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
