Graphic Designer - Part Time

They are looking to hire a Graphic Designer for a 20-hour/week 12-month contract with the possibility for an extension.

The Graphic Designer position will be responsible for applying their expertise to internal and external communications, with a focus in social media, infographics, presentation decks, and a number of other communication-related graphics. The ideal candidate is a great visual storyteller, showcases strong design and composition skills, is able to work in a fast-paced environment, and has great attention to detail.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Execute ad hoc day-to-day creative needs
• Drive the ideation and creation of custom materials for social media, presentations, and internal channels
• Work with managers, producers, and clients to conceptualize, design and produce digital experiences around key communications initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience as a digital graphic designer demonstrating a deep understanding of brand guidelines, while also exhibiting risk taking and innovation with how to represent the company visually
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite including Illustrator, Photoshop. InDesign and After Effects a plus.
• Experience in the technology industry or related field a plus
• Strong typographical and photo editing/manipulation
• Detail-oriented & a highly motivated self-starter
• Ability to understand a creative brief and develop creative that aligns with the project s goals within the established parameters
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to multi-task and work in a fluid, fast-paced environment
• Outstanding online portfolio which demonstrates ideation, graphic design, presentation design, as well as brand system implementation
• Well-versed in fundamental design principles and innovative design trends
• Outstanding creative approach to problem solving
• A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
• Strong conceptual and executional skills, with a focus on visual storytelling (showcasing the ability to make complicated visual concepts accessible and engaging)
