Graphic Designer

·Full-time

·Remote with the ability to attend in-person meetings in Frederick, Maryland, Fairfax County, Virginia, and client sites on the East Coast as needed

·Contract with the possibility of permanent after six months

A growing marketing and creative agency is looking for a graphic designer to support a variety of creative and business development projects. Duties include:

• Develop and update marketing materials such as case studies, staff resumes, brochures, and digital content
• Create graphics and creative assets to be used in social media, presentations, events, and marketing collateral
• Create and edit documents using a variety of tools, including InDesign, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Word

Keys to success in this position include being self-motivated, skilled at gathering and organizing information from a variety of sources, and being able to communicate complex content in a clear, creative, and engaging way.

Flexibility is required for your work schedule depending on client project deadlines. We will work together to create weekly availability expectations that work for you and our clients.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Knowledge of templates, typography, layout, and standard graphic design principles
2. Strong organization, collaboration, and attention to detail skills
3. Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
4. Experience creating layouts for documents ranging from one page up to 300 pages
5. Experience with print production layouts is preferred; including banners, brochures, reports, signage, and various marketing collateral pieces
6. Ability to perform post-production edits to photographs
7. Strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines
8. Build excellent working relationships to attain goals
9. Be self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative!

Qualifications

·Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field

·2-4 years of experience in graphic design

·Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and online project management tools

·Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills, and design skills

·Portfolio of work
