The Graphic Design and Creative Marketing Coordinator serves as Luna Park’s first line of defense against terrible Photoshop and unfortunate gifs. While this position will need to create digital art from scratch, the majority of time will be spent trafficking graphics to production and manipulating master files created by our outside design agency. Working within the Marketing Department, this position will work with our agency on seasonal concepts, advertising campaigns and developing a solid brand image.

Central Amusement International Inc. (CAI) is an amusement park development and management company located in New York City. In 2003, CAI developed Victorian Gardens at Wollman Rink in Central Park, and in 2010 developed Luna Park in Coney Island, at the site of the birthplace of the amusement industry. CAI is part of the Zamperla Group, which is the worldwide leader in the manufacturing of amusement rides.
Primary Objectives:
· Drive traffic and increase sales through visuals
· Development and continuity of the Luna Park brand
· Efficient collateral trafficking and production
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Communicating solutions, successes, and opportunities to management
- Graphic manipulation and creation
- Liaising with internal and external teams to create comprehensive design campaigns
- Graphic and production project management
- Management of Luna Park’s photography assets
Specific Responsibilities of the Job Priorities:
- Graphic and production project management - Planning and executing design concepts from start to finish - Meeting with stakeholders to determine needs - Developing design and content through multiple iterations - Finding print producers, gathering quotes and trafficking graphics
- Communicating solutions, successes, and opportunities to management - Keeping up-to-date on visual marketing best practices in the entertainment industry
- Graphic manipulation and creation - Identifying and creating original graphics for small campaigns - Editing and resizing master design files for out-of-home, print and online
- Liaising with internal and external teams to create comprehensive design campaigns - Researching details of park assets
- Management of Luna Park’s visual assets - Organizing Luna Park’s considerable photography and videography assets
Job Requirements
· Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Create Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, on both PC and Mac
· Works well under pressure and is deadline-oriented
· Excellent project management skills and superb attention to detail
· Ability to seamlessly juggle multiple high-profile projects
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· A good eye and a flair for the creative, innovative and original
· Basic understanding of digital photography
· Familiarity with the NYC market a definite plus
· Due to the nature of the amusement park business, must be able to work a flexible schedule which include weekends
Education and Experience
· B.A. in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
· 2 – 3 years professional experience
Work Environment:
· Work mostly takes place in an office environment (90%)
· Some work will be required outside in all weather (10%)
