Description


The Jed Foundation is a nonprofit organization that protects the emotional health and prevents suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults. The Design and Impact team, which is responsible for co-designing programs and campaigns is looking for a Coordinator.


The Design and Impact team (Deslmp) conducts both research and program evaluation. Additionally, DesImp is responsible for ensuring teams and leaders of actionable, relevant and timely data for decision-making.


In this position, you will serve as the Coordinator to support projects across the team. You will work on projects that include research, data analytics and evaluation. We are looking for someone with strong written and verbal communication skills who can work autonomously. Having a strong interest in developing skills in human subject research and adolescent suicide prevention is a plus.


Key Responsibilities


Administrative and project management support to Design and Impact team


  • Note taking/summarizing in meetings as needed
  • Survey analysis and presentation deck preparation
  • Serve as project coordinator for Research Projects lead by DesImp
  • Support Design and Impact team engagement with JED colleagues/teams needs
  • Support logistics related to survey development, distribution, incentivizing, and reporting in support of various grant related, tech related projects on an as-needed basis
  • Cleaning, organization of data sheets (e.g., Annual Data Survey)


Support Design and Impact team engagement with JED colleagues/teams needs


  • Support to partnerships team to scope out various partner groups and assist with background research as needed
  • Develop surveys and other data collection prompts to deploy with our various audiences to determine how they are using our web-based resources
  • Assist in data and stat requests for various communications, media, and advocacy requests
  • Regular updates on mental health/suicide prevention statistics and JED organizational metrics to JED Stats Official List
  • Participation in regular meetings with external affairs team members to gather R&E needs in order to prioritize this work
  • Create, manage, and deploy stat requests from external JED teams to Design & Impact team to ensure efficient and suitable responses/support


Provide support to DesImp Senior Evaluation Liaison - High School Programming and DesImp Analyst related to Prek - 12 Academic Programming, including:


  • Coordinate Jed High School Student Survey deployment to participating schools/students, including email list and survey link preparation, survey sends/closes, communication with schools and Academic Programming staff on participation and progress in order to ensure timely and organized distribution and completion
  • Work with DesImp Analyst to prepare summary reports for school/Academic Programming team
  • Work with Academic Programming Team to support Jed High School Student Survey deployment for participating JED Schools


Skills Knowledge and Expertise


  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with many moving parts
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in a team setting and self-driven/independent motivation
  • Strong preference for someone with experience working with MS Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel. Teams, Powerpoint, etc.), Google and Asana
  • 1-2 years of work experience with data analytics and/or research project support
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, organize time effectively, and respond to changing deadlines
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Experience working in non-profit and/or public health settings
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a professional manner
  • Experience or interest in adolescent mental health and suicide prevention
  • Familiarity with IRB’s preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree required (psychology, sociology or similar degree preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail


Pay Ranges / Location / Travel Information


Pay Ranges:


The range listed on this job posting is based on JED's compensation posting ranges. Salaries may be higher or lower depending on experience and geographic location.


Location/Travel Information:


Please note that this position is HYBRID (minimum 1-3 times onsite), and the remainder will be work-from-home. This role will require retreat/business meetings at JED’s central office in NYC or other locations as designated by JED leadership. Additional travel may be required.
