Job Description
What to Expect

The Construction Procurement team seeks to recruit a proficient Global Supply Manager, located in Austin, TX. This individual should possess extensive practical understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Equipment sourcing and be competent in contract negotiations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a rapid, ever-changing work environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Issue RFx (RFQ, RFB, and RFP) for sourcing and review, analyze and clarify quote packages from suppliers and service providers. Make and present recommendations to award
  • Work on "Lean" initiatives and identify other sourcing efficiencies via benchmarking, VA/VE, competitive quotes and resourcing
  • Review change order proposals and make approval or rejection recommendations
  • Implementing Worldwide/Regional/Country agreements, as necessary, to consolidate suppliers/spend, as well as provide analysis of existing requirements and pricing to ensure the most cost-effective options
  • Support the purchase order closeout process including reconciliation of material receipts, billings, changes, and payments
  • Maintain day-to-day supplier relationships; act as the lead point of contact for all commercial issues, including identifying and negotiating commercial cost reduction opportunities
  • Conduct a thorough pre-qualification process and synthesize supplier, industry, and market research for long lead equipment. This will involve gathering and analyzing spend data for commodities, to develop a sourcing strategy. Ensuring commodity spend is managed efficiently and effectively within contract compliance by supporting commodity business planning and savings and establish measurement metrics and tools to monitor progress, such as tracking labor productivity burn rates
  • Develop a robust stakeholder buy-in and collaborate with the Engineering team to implement Procurement strategy for MEP Long Lead Equipment.
  • Analyze historical spend as well as forecast spend and savings by commodity/business to develop solid understanding of cost drivers and contracts by commodity
What You’ll Bring
  • MS or BS in Engineering and/or evidence of exceptional experience.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in purchasing, preferably in the Infrastructure, Construction or Facilities space
