Global Supply Chain Director

Our client, a global bio pharmaceutical company, seeks a Global Supply Chain Director. The company has grown due to a number of acquisitions and seeks a candidate that can mange the expansion to new facilities.
The role provides oversight for supply planning of all projects, conducts ongoing evaluation of operational systems and processes to maximize effectiveness, and manages an end-to-end view of operations to help increase margins through operational excellence without compromising customer or consumer satisfaction.
Responsibilities

• Drive Lean and Operations Excellence throughout multiple manufacturing plants.
• Manage planning and execute a global supply chain strategy – including launch into new regions/countries
• Identify the weaknesses, put new processes in place to effect change.
• Study current supply chain, assess where they are and decide how to improve, prepare for next growth stage as they set up operations in other states or countries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management or finance or business
• Experience in strategic sourcing approaches
• Experience in made to order equipment or machinery assembly operations a big plus.
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• Developing a global sourcing strategy – including launch into new regions/countries
• Experience with strategic sourcing, transaction management and supplier management.
• Proven track record of multiple plants, global organization
