We are looking for a Global Insights Lead, Epilepsy Hub to join us in our Insights to Impact team based in Atlanta, GA
About the role
The mission of this role is to deliver data-driven actionable and impactful insights that create patient value and ensure the right allocation of resources for insight generation. This role is overall responsible for the combined insights demand and fulfilment of the combined stakeholders through oversight and involvement where appropriate for the dedicated therapy area. This individual will manage a small team of regional insights leads supporting EU and US, and a dedicated Advanced Analytics lead all dedicated to the specified therapeutic area. This includes:
- Ensuring that UCB increasingly maximizes the use of secondary data and achieves a healthy balance between running primary studies and leveraging data to generate insights.
- Ensuring a balanced agenda across the different stakeholders, prioritization of requests and resource allocation, alignment on planning and exchange of insights, the use of the right modalities
- Ensuring that insights are not replicated, usage and interpretation is maximized, and allocation of resources is in line with the UCB priorities across the various global and regional stakeholders
The Global Insights Lead, Hub therefor is tool or method agnostic (not leading with a modality), brings a consultative mind-set, with a deep understanding of the business and stakeholders needs, and has a strong knowledge of Analytics, PMR and Advanced Analytics and Data.
Who you'll work with
The Global Insights Lead, Hub will be a coordinating insights partner for the Missions and as such manage business needs (demand) re-actively and pro-actively with foresight, i.e., discuss, challenge, and agree on insights needs, priorities, plans and investments. He/she will advise on the best modality getting to the required insights and partner with the relevant team members and expertise (from the Engines and Hub) in getting to a sensible insight initiative.
What you’ll do
- Create a true partnership with the various business stakeholders thru relevant expertise, understanding of the business, interpretation of the insights, advise and foresight, and the delivery of impactful insights whilst challenging on the right allocation of resources and priorities
- Gets involved in relevant projects through support in execution, interpretation and defining actions for relevant stakeholders
- Play a driving role in managing demand across stakeholders
- Play an essential role in maximizing learning from different geographies and missions across, aligning insights plans across stakeholders and allocation the right investments to the right priorities
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the data and insights available across the organization that can and should be used to meet commercial needs
- Demonstrate being a corporate leader of data-driven insights that help support exploitation of strategic and tactical business opportunities, and be a champion for a data-driven, decision-making culture and the FFG working principles.
- Evolves the adoption and usage of (secondary) data and advanced analytics and evolve UCB to become a reference in the industry
- Help to ensure that UCB achieves its strategic objectives by supporting fact-based decision making through data, analytics, and primary research projects
- Drive deep partnership with the Engine teams and other “fellow” Hubs

- Ability to manage a team of insights professionals and align them on a common agenda
- Ability to partner with and advise on stakeholder insights needs through a deep understanding of the business, knowledge of relevant available insights, expertise on the various modalities and best options to get to the relevant answers
- Strong understanding of relevant commercial and medical data, analytics, advanced analytics and primary market research methods and applications within the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong Leadership skills within matrix organizations
- Have a improvement spirit where you will look for the best way for UCB to plan and execute insights demand (allocation of resources, impactful techniques, re-use of methods and results)
- Bachelors Degree
- Strong quantitative and interpretation skills, and a structured problem solver
- Knowledge of analytics models and applications
