Job Summary

The Client Services BI & Analytics team strives to create an open, trusting data culture where the cost of curiosity – the number of steps, amount of time, and complexity of effort needed to use operational data to derive insights – is as low as possible. We govern Client Services’ operational data and metrics, create easily usable dashboards and data sources, and analyze data to share insights.

We are a part of the Client Services Global Business Operations function and work with all levels of stakeholders, from executive leaders sharing insights with the C-Suite to customer-facing colleagues who rely on our assets to incorporate data to their daily responsibilities.

The Reporting Associate specializes in executive level reporting and insight delivery. The successful Reporting Associate must understand the drivers of our clients’ and our own businesses (how they operate, how they make money, and how strategic and tactical decisions impact financial and operational results). While their expertise is in report building, creative problem solving, and translating for non-technical audiences, the Reporting Associate also has the basic coding, math, statistics, and data visualization skills to tackle unexpected challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Develop narratives and presentations using the results of analysis
  • Identify sources of potential bias and error in data sources
  • Create analogies that resonate with decision makers
  • Translate analyses and insights into the language of decision makers
  • Understand the root problem, define objectives, and formalize data requirements
  • Integrate your own business observations and those of stakeholders into your analyses
  • Combine and analyze disparate data sources
  • Create data visualizations to help others understand your analysis
  • Analyze performance of high priority initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Analyze data to develop insights
  • Connect through questions, not assertions
  • Execute analyses using medium-sized data (millions of records)
  • Support Client Services’ executive level reporting suite
  • Report and visualize metrics and benchmarks which measure whether the function is achieving its goals

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. 2 or more years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of probability and statistics
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field Preferred
  • Enjoys asking the next question and searching for deeper knowledge about everything
  • Extremely high sense of quality standards and attention to detail
  • 4 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • A team player and collaborator, able to work well with a diverse group of individuals in a matrixed environment ranging from junior to executive level
  • 2 years of analytics experience with a focus on reporting and executive support
  • Ability to engage with working teams without being asked for input
  • Able to explore, clean, and prepare data for analysis using tools like Tableau Prep, Alteryx, or SQL
