Global Category Manager Jobs

• Organize business reviews with key stakeholders to support collaboration, service, capacity, market insights, savings pipeline, and performance improvement
• This role supports Divisions across 3M, giving the successful candidate broad exposure to 3M’s diverse businesses & products.
• Drive profitability & free cash flow through supplier negotiation and development
• Develop and implement the molding category strategy to ensure business continuity, resilience, and value creation
• Provide end-to-end category leadership, serving as the global manager for molding within 3M Strategic Sourcing
• Negotiate and establish effective vendor contract agreements, holding suppliers accountable to competitive prices, high quality and best in class service
• Create solutions for complex and multi-faceted problems, which requires ingenuity, creativity, innovation, and strong analytical skills
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize activities that drive cost reduction, working capital improvement, risk reduction, efficiency, competitiveness, and go-live activities for the Molding category
• Establish and manage critical supply relationships that provide access to leading technologies and capabilities
• Manage change through effective project goal definition, scenario planning, data analysis, action tracking, and stakeholder alignment

• Ten (10) years of Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering and/or Manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
• Bachelor’s degree, Supply Chain Diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

• Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
• Skilled in written and oral communications
• Experience in Sourcing, especially with contract manufacturers
• Initiative, self-starter with a positive & pro-active approach; Project management experience
• Project management training, experience and aptitude
• Financial acumen and comfort with conducting business analytics
• Experience successfully collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on complex projects. Appropriately engages stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Willingness to have difficult discussions

The expected compensation range for this position is $177,961 - $217,508, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
