Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the Society’s programs and communicate the Society’s needs to members of the development boards.

Five years’ comparable experience working in a development, non-profit, or administrative position.

Must possess solid planning proficiency and organizational skills.

Effective problem-solving skills. Sound, logical decision-making skills required.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar software.

Proactive with excellent prioritization skills and attention to detail.

Collaborate across departments to project manage campaign timelines and deliverables.

Additional responsibilities and special projects as requested.

3+ years of administrative and campaign support in fundraising and donor stewardship.

To support and steward existing volunteer networks, develop new relationships, and establish new volunteer fundraising groups in Merseyside and Cheshire.

To increase the NSPCC's local profile.

To shape and develop the geographical area and local community to establish a tangible relationship with the NSPCC and its work.

Knowledge or experience in the field of AIS or maritime operations is a plus, but not required.

Present sponsorship opportunities to potential sponsors, highlighting the benefits and exposure their brand will receive through naming rights.

Strong business development and fundraising skills, with a proven track record of successfully closing sponsorship deals or similar partnerships.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with potential sponsors and represent Sanborn Analytics.

Access to a computer, internet connection, and other necessary tools to work remotely.

Job Posting: Fundraising and Business Development Specialist (Commissioned/Contracted Position/Remote Work)

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, non-profit management, communications) or equivalent work experience.

- Experience utilizing fundraising software and CRM systems to track donor interactions and manage collaborative campaigns.

- Proven experience in fundraising, including managing successful campaigns and building collaborations with large NGOs.

- Strong relationship-building and networking skills, particularly in engaging with major donors, corporate partners, and large NGOs.

- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising campaigns, leveraging strategic partnerships with collaborating NGOs to amplify our impact.

- Identify and cultivate relationships with major donors, corporate sponsors, and influential individuals to secure financial support.

Previous experience in event planning or other related fields

Coordinate all event activities and personnel

Distribute all meeting information and supplies to attending personnel

Calculate and propose budgets for planned events or meetings

Research and identify successful event opportunities

Maintain stock of event supplies

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential donors, including prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management.

Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities and progress toward goals.

Extra Skills. Experience with a CRM tool.

Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, presentations, and other fundraising materials to effectively communicate the company’s capabilities to prospective donors.

Lead contract negotiations with donors, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business development role

With input from Directors, write and manage a cohesive communications strategy to be used across the org

Manage fundraising events (such as P2P) and campaigns

Issue receipts and/or gift acknowledgements as necessary

Manage FosterClub’s network-wide digital asset library.

Create and manage shareable assets for third-party fundraising (including webpages, flyers, graphics, calendars, etc.)

Manages aspects of the fundraising process (e.g., identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, systems/processing, stewardship) within their respective donor/prospect pool or function.

Manages appropriate resources and processes to help ensure personal and departmental success in meeting organizational and personal objectives and goals.

Bachelor’s degree is required or equivalent experience in lieu of degree

3+ years of fundraising or corporate relations experience

Advanced to Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite and Salesforce is preferred

Outstanding organizational skills and must have keen attention to detail
