Job Position: Functional Architect

Number of Position: 5 needed

Location:NJ/NYC HYBRID

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Functional Architect (10+ year's experience) with a strong background in Group Benefits to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing functional solutions that align with our group benefits offerings. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance and benefits processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.



Responsibilities:

Benefits Strategy Development

  • Define the stream level objectives and ensure alignment with overall vision and strategy.
  • Collaborate with business and technology leaders, and technical teams to understand and align on outcomes for the group benefits program.
  • Review the overall vision, objectives and strategy for the group benefits program and its relevance to the various streams in group benefits.


Benefits Design and Analysis:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and technical teams to gather and document group benefits requirements.
  • Analyze existing group benefits processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Design and architect functional solutions that enhance the group benefits experience for clients and customers.

Technical Solution Development:

  • Ensure that the technical solutions align with industry best practices, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure the successful implementation of group benefits features and enhancements.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and technical designs.

Process Integration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow between different systems.
  • Integrate group benefits solutions with existing systems, platforms, and databases to streamline operations and improve data accuracy.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

  • Develop test plans and scenarios to validate the functionality and performance of group benefits solutions.
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements and deliver a positive user experience.

Documentation and Training:

  • Create comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, user guides, and training materials.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize the group benefits solutions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Recommend and implement process improvements and enhancements to optimize the group benefits experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to group benefits.


Qualifications

  • 10 + years of proven experience as a Functional Architect or similar role, specifically within the group benefits domain.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersand drive consensus .
  • Proficiency in documenting functional specifications, technical designs, and test plans.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience with system integration and data mapping.
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies, tools, and platforms used in group benefits solutions is a plus.
