Job Description

  • Looking for a remote Pharmacy Technician.*
Description
  • Handling some phone calls from members - inbound call.
  • Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
  • Escalate questions regarding prescription to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing.
  • Must either approve or deny and then send them to a Pharmacists for final review.
  • Audit files and perform quality checks.
  • Handling all health plans, and all types of medications.
  • Process prescription exceptions which may include: resolving claim rejects and member and physician outreach.
  • Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues.
  • These Technicians are reviewing Prior Authorizations for determination for a Pharmacy Services department a part of a large healthcare insurance company.
Qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years of a experience as a Pharmacy Technician with good tenure.
  • Must have certification as required by state of operation - PTCB or NHA.
Education/Experience
  • Current Pharmacy Registration at resident State.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer skills.
