Job Description

**100% Remote, but must be located in the USA**

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for the analysis, design, code, test, documentation and support of new software applications and enhancements to existing applications. Contribute to the preparation of specifications to resolve business client questions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and documents how the business requirements fit into existing system
  • Translate detailed program specifications for less complex problems and clearly defined segments of more complex programs into coded computer instructions
  • Create and/ or modify programs to adapt to changes in needs and requirements
  • Participate in gathering specifications from users
  • Assist others in refining system specifications
  • Test coded program routines and make revisions to eliminate errors, with supervision
  • Review test results with users, complete final program documentation, and obtain approval for changes
  • Assist in on-the-job training of less experienced programmers

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to work in an open team environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with direct guidance
  • 2+ years of experience in all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation and source management
  • Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience
  • Possess strong working experience using one or more of the following skill sets: .Net, C#, VB.Net, SQL, SSIS, SSRS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, organization, and timeliness in order to meet customer service expectations
  • Ability to problem solve, make decisions and empathize with others

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with relational databases
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job does not have supervisory duties

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 or more years of related experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • None

Functional Skills

  • Some experience in responsive web front end / single page application development
  • Understanding of computer science concepts, object-oriented design principles
  • Some experience in backend development design and implementation
  • Some experience developing software in different programming languages

Pay Transparency

The base range offered for the role is: $57,500 - $85,000 and may vary based on internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge and experience; among other factors. Other financial components may be added as part of the competitive compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
