Job Description
The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Cleaning and keeping clear the receiving/courier area.
  • Assisting the Pharmacy Manager and Vice President, Pharmacy with projects and tasks as needed.
  • Maintaining a clear and orderly workspace:
    • Cleaning and keeping clear the receiving/courier area.
    • Breaking down and removing cardboard and placing it in the recycle container.
    • Cleaning and wiping down medication shelves as needed.
    • Maintaining a clean and clear refrigerator/cooler area.
    • Cleaning and maintaining the coffee maker and refrigerator in the common area as needed.
  • Offering guidance and assistance to Patient First center questions, concerns, or issues regarding inventory and/or orders;
  • Assisting with monthly inventory counts and any discrepancy research;
  • Cleaning and wiping down medication shelves as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and clear refrigerator/cooler area.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the coffee maker and refrigerator in the common area as needed.
  • Ensuring proper storage of all medications per manufacturer, Board of Pharmacy, and DEA guidelines;
  • Assisting with sorting deliveries and stocking shelves after vendor deliveries;
  • Sorting, rotating, and facing medication stock on shelves according to expiration date and/or lot number;
  • Picking, packing, and invoicing Patient First center medication orders in an efficient and accurate manner;
  • Retrieving vendor orders from delivery vehicle(s) and the Materials Management Department in a timely manner;
  • Applying appropriate auxiliary labels to medications as required;
  • Gathering and sorting center supply order paperwork;
  • Breaking down and removing cardboard and placing it in the recycle container.
  • Assisting with placing drop-ship orders for certain medications ordered by Patient First centers;
  • Using, maintaining, and operating office equipment as trained;
Minimum education and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask;
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time and be able to bend, stoop, and lift objects overhead;
  • Ability to handle incoming telephone calls and emails in a timely and friendly manner;
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) preferred:
  • Experience with inventory management preferred;
  • Must be able to work alone as well as with a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday and, on rare occasions, weekends;
  • Employee must be 18 years of age or older;
  • Ability to properly handle confidential information;
  • Ability to lift moderate to heavy items (25 to 50 pounds);
