Front-End Software Dev Engineer

We are looking for a talented candidate with solid JavaScript web development background to join the Yahoo Finance Web team. The candidate will work in an agile environment, develop and maintain UI, data models, and web services across various web components. This candidate will collaborate directly with a cross-functional team of Tech leads, Designers, Engineers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to facilitate the design and development process.

Responsibilities:

• Build responsive and compelling Web applications, components
• Ensure quality of code by writing tests and doing code reviews
• Code using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and AJAX
• Follow good coding, testing, and documenting best practices and adhere to existing standards
• Build reusable code and libraries.

A Lot About You:

• Deep understanding, solid and versatile experience with standard web technologies.
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, and cross-browser platforms.
• Good knowledge of usability principles and best practices is required.
• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent (e.g. 1 year work experience).

The compensation for this position ranges from $88,500.00 - $184,375.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
