Front End Architect Jobs

Our top client relationship in the non profit healthcare sector is seeking a 100% remote, W2 React/ React Native Architect Senior Software Architect (Director-level) to join and to transform healthcare for those we seek to serve, and those who serve, by delivering brand-wide experiences, powered by people, design, data and technology.

You will be the change agent in the software engineering organization. Your role is hands-on, developing proof of concepts, contributing to coding solutions (as required), an authority on experience technology/ front-end software solutions, defines/reviews software product architecture specifications providing feedback to assigned software engineering teams. Success in your role will ensure successful, high-quality technical delivery and implementation of assigned software projects according to project timelines. Equally important will be your continual growth and development as a Software Architect professional and keeping current on latest technology trends in software engineering.

Requirements

• Experience integrating mobile apps with API’s including REST, GraphQL
• Ability to work W2 without sponsorship
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals in OOAD, SOLID, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience in architecting, designing and developing scalable, performant and highly available web and mobile apps
• Strong understanding of professional software engineering best practices for full SDLC including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing and operations
• Experience with OAuth2.0
• 8+ years of Frontend Engineering background experience with focus on React / React Native
• Experience with TDD/BDD/DDD using JUnit, Cucumber etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated mastery of the full SDLC including CI/CD and modern build and deployment tools
• 2+ years in a Frontend Architect or Frontend design focused leadership role (React and React Native)
• Strong experience with Typescript
• Strong fundamentals/foundation in HTML, CSS, JS
• Expertise in front-end mobile framework iOS - Swift, Android- Kotlin, Java and cross platform- React Native
• Expertise in front-end web frameworks - React, Angular, Vue, JQuery etc.

Responsibilities:

• Helix Design System: Drive the delivery and adoption of standardized front-end reusable components based on the Helix design system. Work closely with design, product and engineering teams to understand application needs and component deliverables as part of the intake process for helix components. Use the design specifications and convert them into a front-end framework (react, react-native etc.) specific reusable components and drive the adoption and adherence to the design system across the studio. Manage a team of frontend developers, participate in design and code reviews, create technical and usage documentation. Act as the engineering evangelist for the new components to provide guidance and awareness across the studio products and drive adoption. Plan and coordinate the decommissioning of the old helix components.
• Product/Project focus: Closely collaborates with the assigned engineering teams to architect and design and code solutions which deliver resilient; reliable; scalable; secure; compliant; and highly available products on defined project timelines -- with plans to mitigate system risk.
• Architecture Roadmap: Participates in refinement of the front-end architecture roadmap to evolve and mature systems in accordance with architecture vision, strategy, and goals. Influence leadership, and project teams to prioritize architecture projects when required.
• Leadership: Provides software architecture and engineering leadership by keeping current with technical and industry trends in digital experience technologies including- web, mobile, wearables, kiosk etc. Then, applying the knowledge to lead solutioning or problem solving discussions and knowledge sharing with compelling presentations, demos, or solution samples to promote architectural and technical ideation in web and mobile technologies.
• Experience Technology Thought Leadership: Participate in the development of company wide strategy in Experience Technology strategy, frameworks, patterns, delivery approach, DevOps, standards, best practices and blueprints for both mobile (iOS and Android) and web. Collaborate with engineers and architects to describe and influence adoption of the frameworks, tools and practices across the studio.
• Support: Setup process and tools for L3 support of front-end technologies. Participate in technical troubleshooting calls to help drive issue resolution and root cause analysis. Drive continuous improvement of front-end architecture and design to improve operational efficiency.
