Senior Dev Ops Engineer

Essential Functions

• Create and maintain build and deploy scripts and other automation tools
• Integrate test and quality tools into build processes
• Create and maintain on-premise resources for multiple environments
• Create and maintain Docker container repositories
• Assist as needed with production system maintenance
• Create and maintain AWS resources for multiple environments
• Perform other IT operational tasks and duties as required.
• Communicate and collaborate with the development team to support their operational needs for systems and infrastructure.
• Assist with administering GitLab repositories, including branch and tag management
• Create and maintain build and deploy CI/CD pipelines using both AWS tools and other CI/CD tools
• Perform as Release Engineer in deploying various systems and applications in both AWS and on-premise environments

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Required Skills/Abilities/Experience

• Experience architecting and building solutions in AWS with a "cloud-first" approach
• Experience setting up ci/cd pipelines
• Minimum 2 years of maintaining an application in a production environment
• Experience working in both Windows and Linux environments
• Three or more years of experience in medium to large IT environment as a Developer and/or DevOps engineer
• Experience writing both DDL and DML SQL queries in a relational database (postgres or mysql preferred, but almost any would be acceptable)
• Experience working with infrastructure as code tools (terraform preferred)
• Experience working with containers
• Minimum 4 years of application development experience
• Strong experience in at least 2 of: javascript/typescript, C# (dotnet core preferred, but not required), java, python
• Strong experience with and understanding of git

Preferred/Nice to Have Experience

• Experience using Datadog for logging and alerting
• Experience with postgres and/or mysql administration
• Experience performance tuning SQL queries
• Experience working in an environment with regulation and/or compliance requirements such as HIPAA, PCI, etc
• Experience with Gitlab (admin, ci/cd pipeline language, etc)
• Experience building/deploying iOS and Android apps
• Experience with Linux shell scripting

Working Conditions

• Work is generally performed within an indoor office environment utilizing standard office equipment.
• No travel is required.
• General office environment requiring: frequent sitting; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse; walking and standing for long periods of time; and lifting of less than 20 pounds.
