As a Freight Dispatch Agent, you will play a crucial role in our operations by managing freight, negotiating contracts, and coordinating shipments. Your excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will be essential in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to negotiate and book loads, optimizing revenue for the week
Build and foster relationships with potential clients in the freight industry
Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations for the transportation of goods
Coordinate and dispatch shipments to drivers, guaranteeing on-time delivery
Utilize state-of-the-art EDI systems for efficient communication with carriers and clients
Determine pricing for freight services through effective negotiation
Utilize software tools to track and manage shipments effectively
Proactively identify and address any potential problems, offering viable solutions
Provide exceptional customer service and address any inquiries or concerns
Generate comprehensive reports for upper management
Qualifications
Previous experience in freight dispatch or logistics is essential
Strong knowledge of transportation industry practices, regulations, and procedures
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to make sound decisions independently and work under pressure
We offer a competitive salary based on your experience, with a range of $70,000 to $120,000 per year. As a full-time, remote position, this role provides flexibility in your work schedule.
