Job Description

Summary:


Free People is looking for a motivated Email Developer. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly flexible, and detail-oriented and will play a key role in the execution and growth of our email program. The developer is responsible for developing all email campaigns and templates, as well as supporting technical email audience and personalization needs across multiple business units and initiatives. This position works in a highly dynamic environment and must be able to work collaboratively and flexibly. This role sits within the Free People Digital Team, a cross-functional group that manages Free People’s direct to consumer business and includes Analytics, Consumer Insights, Content, Marketing and UX. Our integrated team structure and culture of professional development will provide opportunities for team-oriented individuals wanting to pursue a career in email and digital marketing.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage all coding, set-up, QA and development of daily marketing and long-term triggered email campaigns across all business units and initiatives
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues before deployment; if unresolvable, collaborate with IT and Salesforce partners on solutions
  • Opportunity to dive into Salesforce personalization tools, AMPscript targeting, and SQL as it relates to audience builds
  • Utilize HTML and internal Salesforce design system to execute code
  • Develop new email layouts and templates on an ad-hoc basis

Education and Experience

  • Familiar with digital design and knowledge of Adobe Suite a plus
  • Bachelors (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or equivalent with a degree in Marketing or related field
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS a plus
  • E-commerce experience and interest in retail preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related role
  • Salesforce or other ESP experience a plus
